"You are stronger than you seem, braver than you believe, and smarter than you think". A.A. Milne

You've felt so behind your peers when it comes to career and relationships. Perhaps you've finally gotten traction in those areas but now have a new set of problems. We don't always feel comfortable talking about the anxiety and stress that comes along things we consider blessings. Things like becoming a mom, landing the job you really wanted or taking a relationship to the next level can also come with feelings of self-doubt, not feeling like yourself, burnout, and difficulty adjusting. Then the thought of another transition feels like a setback or keeps you in toxic situations.

I offer individual and group therapy to adults ages 18 to 65 dealing with a range of issues: anxiety, depression, career challenges/burnout, family and relationship issues, major life transitions and adjustments, caregiver stress, geriatric issues, postpartum challenges, stress management, anger management, women's issues, and self-esteem issues.

My approach draws from Narrative and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because while we can't always control the outcome of situations, we do have the ability to shift how we experience them. I empower clients I work with to go from feeling stuck and like they can't win, to competent that they can manage whatever is next.

Empathy, respect, and compassion are the cornerstones of every one of my sessions. I make sure my clients aren't just using therapy for an outlet, but as an experience where they can learn effective ways to cope with the stress of their responsibilities and to excel without burnout.

I’m here to guide you toward self-discovery and growth, making sure that your goals are in the forefront. Reach out, and let’s embark on this transformative path together.

Signs We Will Work Well Together

A good way to determine whether or not we would be well matched in our therapeutic relationship is during our free, brief consultation call. You will get to ask me questions about my experience, how change occurs for clients during sessions, and if I have helped others who have dealt with similar situations as yours.

To help you further, here are feelings my clients often have before working with me:

"I take care of everyone else. There is no one to take care of me."

"I’m always irritated"

“I used to be a lot more confident”

“I feel so behind my peers with my career and relationships”

“I no longer feel like myself since giving birth”

“I often overthink things and second guess my decisions”

If these are sentiments you can relate to, I want to talk to you. Your feelings are valid and you don’t have to go through these things alone.

My Background:

I discovered my passion for psychology, pathology, and counseling at the esteemed University of Georgia as a Biology major. My educational journey then led me to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Social Work. With a decade of experience, I’ve worked closely with individuals navigating various life challenges and mental health complexities, including severe mental illnesses, past traumas, substance abuse, homelessness, caregiver stress and financial hardship. I’ve honed my skills through inpatient, in-clinic, and outpatient settings. My journey has taken me to community service boards, psychiatric hospitals, and K-12 schools across the state.
