Therapy for Perfectionism & Relationships
w/Serenity Quant, LAPC
Are you the one who always seems to have it all together — the strong, reliable person everyone turns to, but deep down, you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and stuck in a cycle of self-doubt and perfectionism? Do you find yourself constantly giving to others but struggling to care for yourself, feeling like you’re never quite “enough” just as you are?
Welcome, I’m Serenity!
I specialize in helping women like you reclaim their sense of self-worth, break free from negative thought patterns, and find peace in embracing who they truly are. Together, we will create a safe, nurturing space where you can let go of unrealistic expectations, learn to love yourself wholeheartedly, and move forward with confidence and clarity. It's time to stop just surviving and start truly thriving — unapologetically and on your own terms.

Signs We Will Work Well Together
A good way to determine whether or not we would be well matched in our therapeutic relationship is during our free, brief consultation call. You will get to ask me questions about my experience, how change occurs for clients during sessions, and if I have helped others who have dealt with similar situations as yours.
To help you further, here are concerns my clients often have before working with me:
Feeling like they need to be “strong” all the time
Constantly pouring to others, but struggling to pour into themselves
Difficulties loving their bodies and feeling good enough as is
Constantly beating themselves up for not measuring up to unrealistic standards
Struggles with implementing self-care practices
Negative and unhelpful thinking patterns
Simply needing a space to be themselves
Feeling confident in themselves and their decisions
Coping with anxiety stemming from romantic, personal, and professional relationships
Feeling stuck due to perfectionism
Anxious attachment styles
Grief
If these are things you can relate to, I want to talk to you. Your feelings are valid and you don’t have to go through these things alone.

My Therapy Approaches
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):
If you often find yourself caught in cycles of negative thinking, self-criticism, or perfectionism, CBT can help you break free. This approach focuses on identifying and challenging the unhelpful thought patterns that keep you feeling stuck or anxious, replacing them with healthier, more empowering perspectives. Together, we’ll look at the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, so you can begin to shift your mindset and start living with more confidence and clarity. CBT gives you practical tools to manage anxiety, overcome self-doubt, and move through life’s challenges with greater ease.
-
Person-Centered Therapy:
I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to create a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. In person-centered therapy, you set the pace, and I’m here to listen, reflect, and help you tap into your inner strengths. By creating a relationship built on trust, empathy, and unconditional positive regard, we’ll work together to uncover your authentic self and help you navigate through life’s challenges in a way that feels right for you. You’ll learn to trust yourself, embrace your growth, and make decisions that align with who you truly are.
-
Holistic Methods (Yoga and Breath Work):
Your mind and body are deeply connected, and holistic methods like yoga and breath work help bridge that gap. If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, these practices can help you find calm and balance from within. By integrating mindfulness, movement, and breath, we’ll work to release the tension and stress stored in your body, allowing you to reconnect with your physical and emotional well-being. Whether it’s through a simple breathing exercise or gentle yoga poses, these holistic methods will help you cultivate inner peace and resilience, empowering you to face life with greater calm and clarity.
My Background:
My journey into the field of mental health counseling began with a strong foundation in biological sciences. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Biological Science from Florida Atlantic University, driven by an initial aspiration to pursue a career in healthcare with a focus on women's health. However, my path took a transformative turn as I discovered the profound benefits of holistic practices like yoga and meditation in improving overall well-being. This newfound passion led me to complete my Yoga Teacher Training in 2018, which became a pivotal moment in my career.
When the pandemic struck, it became clear to me that mental health care was an urgent need, particularly within urban communities. This realization motivated me to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University. This program allowed me to integrate my passion for holistic wellness with evidence-based mental health practices, addressing the complexities of mind-body healing.
Throughout my professional journey, I have helped individuals navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, negative body image, relationship struggles, substance abuse, and the pressure of not living up to their potential. My dedication to empowering women and fostering holistic well-being remains at the core of my practice, guiding them towards a path of self-love and healing.
